Volleyball World, the International Volleyball Federation’s (FIVB) commercial arm and N3XT Sports client, delivered record social media engagement during the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championships and FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championships following a dramatic spike in audience growth and unique social views across its global channels.
Volleyball World attracted more than 900 million social views across both competitions and surpassed 350,000 new followers worldwide. Overall, the competitions received 62 million engagements across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X, as well as record growth via China’s Douyin social media platform.
N3XT Sports, which supports the planning and delivery of Volleyball World’s social media strategy, including its paid-media activations, executed the organization’s first ever cross-continent influencer program, which helped drive 5.1 million engagements and 140 million social views in Volleyball World’s key markets outside China, including the US, Italy, Brazil, Thailand and the Philippines.
“As part of our collaboration with Volleyball World’s digital team, N3XT Sports supports the development and delivery of the organization’s ‘always-on’ social media strategy, helping to drive local growth and engagement,” says Beatriz Indurain, N3XT Sports VP of Growth.
“By driving audience growth across its social channels, Volleyball World is generating increased awareness of its competitions and brand at every stage of the fan journey. The influencer program was introduced to showcase the Volleyball World Championships to new audiences and help drive followers, engagement and viewership to the organization’s owned platforms.”

The men’s Volleyball World Championships, hosted in the Philippines, generated 5 million views and 180 million viewership minutes via its VBTV over-the-top (OTT) streaming service, including a platform-record 220,000 views during the championship final between Italy and Bulgaria and 207,000 views during the US-Bulgaria quarterfinal.
Meanwhile, the women’s Volleyball World Championships attracted more than 1 billion views across the event’s broadcast partners and FIVB’s digital platforms.
